Drum roll please...

Court on Sept 26th went great!  Both Eli and Olyvia's adoptions are FINAL!  Now we just have to wait for new birth certificates to ammend/apply for SS numbers and change names on EVERYTHING!

We are hoping to schedule their sealing on November 24th-the day after our 13th anniversary!

AND Eli will be 3 on the 10th and starts school THE NEXT DAY!!!!!  He will attend school the same time as Evalynn.

One more thing-Elisa is now the Primary President in our branch.

Rain, teeth, school and more kids!

Rain-we have been getting so much rain lately! And we are so grateful!  Everything is green and beautiful and the weather has been so nice.  It is supposed to warm up again, but soon we will be onto our Fall weather for good!

Teeth-I REALLY hope Olyvia will not be like this EVERYTIME she is teething! She only sleeps about 3-4 hours at a time and throws huge temper tantrums!  And she has to be rocked to sleep.  Makes it hard on mom when dad gets off at 2 am and she has to be up by 7:30.

School-Evalynn is loving Pre-K.  She loves to ride the bus-we drive her to a universal stop in the morning and another bus brings her to the house in the afternoon.  Her teachers are awesome and I am glad she is getting to socialize with other kiddos her age.  She is also playing soccer which has been a learning experience for her about sharing.  She gets upset when she doesn't get to score a goal so it is a great learning experience about teamwork.

Eli will start school the day after his 3rd birthday in October.  He will ride the bus in the morning with Ev but a different one in the afternoon-IT HAS SEAT BELTS SO HE WON'T WONDER AROUND-YEAH!

Olyvia is running everywhere, climbing on everything and talking all the time.  She only weighs 5 pounds less than Eli and is catching up quickly to his height.

More kids-our three plus the two I have been babysitting plus the two more I will be babysitting!  Two 2 year olds, a 3 year old and a four year old that goes to school with Ev.  So far we have not had them all here in one day but I am sure it will happen soon.  They are all great kids and so fun!

FYI- Eli and Olyvia both have adoption hearings on Sept 26th.  Fingers crossed that they will be final that day!

Love to all!

July's Events

We spent a fun 4th in Virden Nm with Nana & Papa Wright.  All Elisa's sibling were there and most of the cousins so it was a family affair.  As soon as uncle Nick walked in the door Evalynn was asking him to read books to her. We attended the breakfast sponsored by the Village of Virden and then went into Duncan for the parade.  Evalynn got to ride in a firetruck with Aunt Amber and Uncle Junior.  It is sooo fun when your Papa Spanky is the fire chief.  Yummy steaks at Uncle Jorden's house and lots of fun on his new "toy" that he bought for hunting.  Elisa taught 9 year old Codi to drive the polaris!  The kids passed out from exhaustion before fireworks so we just stayed at nana's and watched tv.

Evalynn is now 4!  She is soooo excited for Pre-K to start and to ride the big yellow bus.  She loved her birthday but thinks it should be everyday!  She is current;y in Taos, NM with aunt Amber on her first away from home trip-5days!

Eli will start early Pre-K after his 3rd birthday in October.  He still gets therapy but is doing so much better!  He wears his cowboy boots everywhere and is learning to dress himself.  Too bad he's not interested in potty training!

Olyvia is now 1!  She is walking everywhere and loves to spend time outside.  She has two teeth and loves to eat all kinds of food!  She is "learning" to share and drives her siblings crazy by following them everywhere!

Spencer and Elisa are doing good.  Always busy busy with kids, work, church and fun!  Haven't made it to the lake much, but we take the kiddos to the pool!  They all love water!  Spencer is in YM and Elisa is Primary Music Leader.

Hope everyone is doind well!

It has been a while!

Well it's almost lake time again! I am not very good at keeping this blog current but hope to do better!

Evalynn will be 4 in July and has been registered for Pre-K. She is so excited to go to school and ride the bus that passes our house everyday!

Eli is registered for developmental delayed Pre-k and will start after his 3rd b day in October. He has some emotional and sensory issues that qualified him for the early pre-k.

Olyvia will be one at the end of June! She is standing up on her own and should be walking very soon. She weighs about 22 pounds.

Spencer is back to work after taking 6 weeks off to help with kids when Elisa had foot surgery. He is happy to be back at work and has been to some Honor Guard training. Next week he will participate in a memorial at the capitol and at the graduation of the latest recruits.

Elisa's foot is doing much better but is still sore sometimes. She keeps busy with the kids therapy visits and appointments. She is VERY glad that the weather is finally warm so the kids can play outside!

Our News

Olyvia Rose was born on June 30, 2011 at 7:17 am. She weighed in at 7lb 5oz and was 19 inches long. She is now 6 weeks old and weighs 11lbs and is 21.5 inches long. She is growing so fast!

Evalynn is now 3 and is 38.5 inches tall and weighs in at 34lb.

Eli is 34 inches tall and 26 pounds.

We are all so glad to be home in New Mexico! The kids are doing good, but the older two are definately pushing their boundaries-and each other!!!! Evalynn thinks she is the minature mommy who has to repeat everything I say to Eli. Eli thinks she's full of it. :) At least he has stopped biting her!

Miss Olyvia is happy and content as long as her belly is full. She WILL NOT sleep in the bassinet so thank heavens for her vibrating bouncy chair (THANKS auntie Kristie!). She loves it and sleeps for about 5 hours at a time in it at night.

Spencer just celebrated his 33rd birthday! We are so thankful for him and all he does for us. He recently received an award from the city for his police work. He was released from the Elders Quorum Pres. and still serves as a 11 year old scout leader.

I am still adjusting to this whole 3 kids thing and my house constantly looks like a tornado or hurricane has hit. But hey, we are all healthy and happy and at the end of the day still alive!

the kids are constantly asking to go to the lake on "Fred and Patty Lou's boat." They love the water. The lake looks a little sad since the water level is so low, but there is still plenty there to swim, boat and tube.

Thanks to all our great family and friends for all their love and help!!!!

Eli

Yesterday we had a court date here in Mesa for Eli. We were very surprised when CPS asked for a change of custody, allowing us to pick Eli up last night from his foster family. They seem like really great people!

So we now have Eli here with us at Gma & Gpa Roberts. we are VERY excited to finally have him with us and Evalynn is doing a great job of being a big sister!
Spencer leaves on Tues to head back to NM but the kids and I are staying for the birth of Olivia.

OH BOY-AND A GIRL!

Well we are busy planning on getting to Eli home sometime before the end of summer. Our NM worker says that we are certified and our file is on its way back to AZ. There is a court date on June 9th so we will see what happens.

Big news-Jesse has asked us to adopt the baby girl she is preg with. She is scheduled to be induced on June 28th. We are going to name her Olivia Rose-Rose is for her gma Roslyn who passed away a year ago. Plus there are several other fam members with Rose in their name.

Evalynn is so busy all the time! She is talking so well and amazes us all the time with her vocab. She is excited about getting a brother and sister. She loves to spend time with her cousins!

Spencer is still in the Elder Quorum presidency and I am now the 2nd counselor in the Primary. Ev loves nursery and can't wait to take Eli with her. We have been talking about all the wonderful stuff she will be able to teach her siblings-like bubbles and playdo and swimming and going on boats.

Hope you are all doing well! We are headed to Mesa on the 6th of June. Ev and I will be staying for awhile!
